Department of Mechanical Engineering | Mechanical engineering is one of the broadest engineering disciplines. Mechanical engineers design and analysis of motor vehicles, aircraft, heating and cooling systems, manufacturing plants, industrial equipment and machinery, robotics and Mechanical Engineering is the largest department of the institute. It has been accriditated by National Board of Accreditation. Having highly qualified faculty members, dedicated to teaching and research, it produces high quality engineers, competent enough to meet the demands of various industries. The faculty members and students interact with industry and work on their projects. The department also runs M.Tech programs in specializations of Manufacturing Technology & Automation and Machine Design. The department is equipped with a number of well established laboratories. In addition to this the department has a full-fledged workshop which is spread over many basic and advanced shops, fully equipped with modern machines, tools, equipments and measuring instruments.
